Wake Research Associates combined with RMG Gastroenterology to form Carolina’s GI Research in 2016. This facility offers three decades of experience in gastroenterology and board certified clinical investigators specializing in both gastroenterology and hematology. Most studies here focus on digestive system conditions such as Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis and GERD (heartburn), as well as infections such as Clostridium Difficile (aka C. diff), a bacterium that can cause symptoms ranging from diarrhea to life-threatening inflammation of the colon.
